At our heart, we’re all about learning, building, and growing. We’re especially proud of our hands-on approach: from teaching new skills in engaging workshops and restoring vintage computers to running exciting competitions. But our most significant strength is our ability to connect our members with the wider community. Through our collaborative project hubs with the University of Malta and MCAST, we provide unique opportunities to work on real-world projects and contribute to the future of technology in Malta.

Research & School visits

Our school visits are designed to be a captivating journey through the world of microcomputing. We don’t just talk about technology; we bring it to life. Through interactive demonstrations, students get to see firsthand the magic of restoring a vintage computer, understanding its inner workings and the history it represents. We also showcase the future of technology by letting them get hands-on with modern robots and single-board computers. These sessions give students a tangible experience, showing them how code and creativity can come together to build, innovate, and solve problems.

Exhibitions

Exhibitions are a cornerstone of our community outreach, serving as a platform to proudly display the passion, skill, and innovation of our members. At these events, we showcase a diverse range of projects, from meticulously restored vintage computers that tell the story of technology’s past, to cutting-edge builds that push the boundaries of modern microcomputing.

Equipment donations

A cornerstone of our work is the generous donation of equipment from individuals and organizations across Malta. We gratefully accept a wide range of devices, from vintage computers and components to modern hardware, giving these items a new purpose. Our skilled members meticulously evaluate, repair, and restore these donations, ensuring that they are either preserved for historical purposes, used in our hands-on workshops and competitions, or repurposed for our collaborative projects with entities like the University of Malta and MCAST. This practice not only supports our mission and projects but also helps to reduce e-waste and promote a culture of sustainability and resourcefulnness.

Our members also dive into modern gaming by building custom PCs and retro gaming rigs, and even developing our own games.
